Foodpaths

FOODPathS, supported by the European Commission, works on a concrete strategy and the necessary tools to create a future-proof working environment for European cooperation in the field of Sustainable Food Systems (SFS).
The project focuses on smart solutions that benefit both people and the planet and climate, and prepares Europe for a sustainable food future. The official launch takes place in 2024.
Good preparation
FOODPathS came to us very well-prepared, with both branding and structure already fully worked out. This allowed us to start on the webdesign immediately. We translated their written structure into a modern and playful design that perfectly matches their branding. This way, all design choices were settled before we moved on to the development phase.
User-friendly
Since there was a need for many content types and categories, it was necessary to clearly divide and display all this information in both the front-end and back-end. In the back-end we ensured a clear subdivision and user-friendly page structure that allows the client to easily make changes themselves. In the front-end, we worked with many filters so that users can specifically search for the right information.
In addition to the filters, there were several important features such as social media share buttons to allow users to easily share events and news items. A Twitter feed to highlight tweets using the FOODPathS hashtag and an interactive map to display all funders in a handy overview.
What makes this a success story?
Since it is an informative website, it is important to keep the website attractive. The long texts are presented on screen using animations, which makes the overall experience more pleasant for the user.
By dividing all different content types in combination with the right categories, we kept the large amount of information manageable, for both users and administrators.
