Filippo Berio is a globally renowned brand in the olive oil industry, founded in 1867 in Italy.
The brand is best known for its premium olive oils, which are appreciated worldwide by both professional chefs and home cooks.
Our Meta campaigns for Filippo Berio had two main goals: increasing brand visibility and expanding the community on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.
To increase brand awareness for Filippo Berio, we set up a targeted Awareness campaign. This campaign focuses exclusively on Filippo Berio's pasta sauces, targeting lovers of Italian cuisine and people with an interest in Delhaize, where the sauces are available.
We also run another Awareness/Engagement campaign in which we place more general ads, including content about Filippo Berio, olive oil, recipes and more. In this campaign we strengthen organic content by boosting it. We primarily target lovers of Italian cuisine, olive oil, home cooks and foodies.
By boosting these posts, we not only increased reach but also significantly stimulated interaction and engagement on social media.
To expand the community on Facebook and Instagram, we launched a follower campaign. We tested various approaches. The strongest performance consistently came from content that was locally relevant to the Belgian target audience, leading to a clear increase in both reach and follower count.
Effectieve resultaten
The results of both campaigns were impressive.
In just three months, we reached more than 1 million people through our Awareness campaigns and the number of followers increased by 8.4%.
Social media
In addition to paid Meta campaigns, we also invested heavily in organic content, tailored to the target audience with attractive visuals and relevant recipes that strengthen Filippo Berio's brand identity.
By combining organic posts with paid campaigns, we increased both community engagement and trust, resulting in a more authentic brand experience.
To better reach the Belgian audience with Filippo Berio's Italian products, we chose a new approach on Facebook and Instagram. Instead of mainly static images and recipes, we created recognisable content for the Belgian consumer through targeted shoots.
By incorporating trends and Belgian eating habits into the content, brand engagement increased significantly. We supported this with a thoughtful mix of formats, targeted giveaways and collaborations with carefully selected influencers.
Result? In 2024, Filippo Berio's social media channels generated 54.3% more page views on Facebook and 39.6% more followers on Instagram than in 2023.
Conclusion: content that resonates with the Belgian audience
We translated the Mediterranean character of Filippo Berio into the Belgian kitchen, with recipe ideas that combine Belgian traditions with an Italian flair. Combined with contemporary formats and an eye for social trends, this led to a noticeable increase in reach and engagement on organic channels as well as within campaigns.
